AF is a non alcoholic beverage, but like many beverages (eg. fruit juices, kombucha) is crafted from natural extracts and flavors, and may contain trace amounts of alcohol, but less than 0.5% alcohol-by-volume, as permitted by FDA guidelines.

(We even had a journalist pick our Gin & tonic in a blind test – swearing it was a Hendrick’s and tonic. And we won silver at a global drinks competition in the full alcoholic category. Which was funny and kinda felt like reverse cheating).

Afterglow™ is our secret sauce. It’s a natural heat extract that we have added to mimic the taste and sensation of alcohol. It produces a gentle warming in the back of the throat and chest very similar to the feeling you would get when drinking. It’s 100% natural and not considered an allergen.

Afterglow™ has similar properties to chocolate, which is known to trigger the release of dopamine and endorphins in your brain making you feel happy. And, like chilli, which is known to dilate the blood vessels giving you the warmth and glow. In high doses, it’s also a known aphrodisiac, so you may have the urge to party.

The natural extract in Afterglow™ is derived from capsicum. Capsicum naturally activates your TRPV1 receptors responsible for regulation of body temperature and sensations linked to warmth and euphoria.

All of the AF range have 6% or less sugar per 100ml and the VØD%A Spritz has zero. All AF's are significantly lower than their alcoholic equivalents. 

Absolutely not! We only use the best, natural ingredients, with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

That is a very personal decision. We created AF Drinks to provide a credible alternative to alcoholic beverages. We did this by recreating the flavour, rather than de-alcoholising an existing spirit or wine.
